Google Translate – official link and a free alternative (guide)

Google Translate is at translate.google.com and in the Google Translate app. Tachlis also has its own free translator that you can use right here.

Tachlis is not affiliated with Google Translate. This is an independent guide. Tachlis never asks for your password.

Go to the official Google Translate website →Open the Tachlis translator →

Step by step

  1. Open translate.google.com or the Google Translate app.
  2. Choose the language of your text, or let it detect the language automatically.
  3. Choose the language to translate into.
  4. Type or paste the text. The translation appears next to it.

If it does not work

For signs and menus, the app can translate text with the phone camera.
Machine translations can be wrong: have important texts, such as contracts or medical information, checked by a person.
